Blanket of Knowledge Knit Pattern May 2024

I can’t believe it’s already May! Not only is it the month the Mimosa’s start to bloom, so does the color on the weather map. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by the recent and future storms. As a retired Insurance Adjuster, I understand just what many of you are dealing with. Hang in there.

We have a fun one this month. There is a little bit of math for our strip knitters, but it will all be worth it. If you garden, you can relate to this being the month that you start to see more reward for your efforts. The early season plants start to bloom like the beginning of a symphony that will last throughout the summer and into fall. The anticipation of seeing how the flowers replace each other as they all come into bloom in the perfect sequence like notes to compose music to the eyes.

As you knit this month’s pattern, Imagin how the large and small flowers complement each other and how the greens in the background provide a perfect backdrop to showcase all of the beautiful colors; Mother Nature’s own Green Screen if you will.
